Support Consumers. The FDA does everything it can do to interfere with the right of consumers to make informed choices about products they use for their health and well being, and their war on kratom includes distributing disinformation on kratom that materially misleads consumers and policy makers. Our goal is to change that.

Educate. Kratom is a natural plant that helps consumers improve their health and well being for centuries. Our goal is to educate all Americans with the truth about kratom — from potential consumers to regulators and everyone in between.

KRATOM STRAINS CHARTS and TYPES

https://buykratom.us/our-kratom-guide-types-of-kratom-location/

Although Sumatra kratom (sometimes referred to as Sumatran kratom) can be somewhat rare and difficult to find, some kratom guides have noted that Sumatra kratom appears to be longer-lasting than other kratom strains. As a result, Sumatran kratom strains might be particularly suitable for shoppers who are looking to maximize the value and “mileage” of their purchases.

https://theislandnow.com/blog-112/types-of-kratom-strains/

The best part, other than the great properties that this kratom possesses is, the effects of Bentuangie Kratom last considerably longer than the other kratoms.

GOLD KRATOM

https://katsbotanicals.com/gold-kratom-guidebook/

The users of Yellow Vein Kratom claim that it has energy-producing properties and also helps the user to deal with anxiety or malaise.

Surprisingly it is long-lasting, not like the White Vein Kratom that almost works like the morning cup of coffee or used to give you that much-needed kick of caffeine. While buying it, make sure to buy it from a more reliable and trusted source. There are hundreds of kratom vendors available in the market as it is rare to find and is easily dup

Types of Kratom Strains available on the Market :

https://theislandnow.com/blog-112/types-of-kratom-strains/   (each color with its own detailed page)

White Vein Kratom – Most Popular

Red Vein Kratom – Best Kratom Strain

Green Vein Kratom – All-in-one Super Strain

Maeng Da Kratom – Pure and Potent

    Bentuangie Kratom – Relaxing Strain

Yellow Vein Kratom – Enhances your mood

Pain sufferers often turn to Maeng Da to relieve moderate to severe pain. Usually green and white vein Maeng Da work best for pain relief.

One of the main things to remember about Maeng Da is to not use it daily because you can rapidly build up a tolerance to the plant’s particular alkaloids, so you’ll need to keep increasing the dosage to attain the same effects. However, at some point, you’ll fail to gain any physical response from using the strain. Ideally, you should only occasionally use Maeng Da and consistently switch it with other strains to avoid tolerance.

Bali acts as a stimulant and can numb the pain. Individuals looking to lose weight often turn to Bali because it has the ability to suppress appetite, so you don’t feel as hungry when using the herb.

Indo Kratom

Indo kratom hails from Indonesia. The strain is favored by individuals looking to overcome opiate withdrawals. It also appears to boost mood and help many feel more relaxed. It has interesting sedative qualities even when taken in low doses. Many users turn to red vein Indo for pain relief. You’ll also encounter Super Indo and white vein Indo which are also both ideal pain management options.

Thai Kratom

Kratom grown in Thailand (known as Thai kratom) is interesting because it has high levels of various alkaloids. Users who favor this strain often report that they can focus on certain tasks for long hours without distraction or feeling tired. It is wonderful at battling fatigue. The strain also appears to relieve depression and enhance mood. Manual laborers in Thailand extensively use the herb to complete long and arduous days of back-breaking manual labor.

Use white or green strains for an energy boost. Red vein Thai is great for killing pain.

Malaysian

The last on our kratom strains chart are the Malay kratom strains which work remarkably well in low doses if you are seeking stimulation. In high doses, the strain has sedative-like qualities. When using a Malay strain, you will also gain improved cognitive functions and mental focus. You’ll feel like your mind is performing efficiently without jumping subjects.

GREEN KRATOM STRAIN

The green strain is a great source of energy. It’s also known to have a positive effect on the mood. What I like about the green strain is that it’s super effective. After about 15 to 20 minutes I get an insane energy rush which lasts for several hours. The renewed strength it gives me is absolutely amazing and I highly suggest everybody try it out.

https://kratom-news.org/

Kratom is a phytochemical – it’s filled with an array of biologically active compounds that impact your body and mind. Two of its most essential compounds include Mitragynine and 7-hydroxy-mitragynine, relatively similar to the psychoactive compound found in magic mushrooms – psilocybin.

It’s believed that these compounds work in much the same manner as opioids. They bind with the opioid receptors in the brain, spinal cords, and other organs, exerting different effects at different doses. Naturally, this begs the question – is kratom an opioid? In essence, yes. It can work as a powerful opiate that has sedating and pain-relieving effects. However, is kratom addictive? The answer is a bit more complicated.

Mitragynine and 7-hydroxy-mitragynine mainly target the mu receptors in the brain. Those are the same receptors that are activated whenever you experience pleasure – when eating or making love. Such activities release neurotransmitters, activating the “reward system” in your brain thanks to increased dopamine, making you feel euphoric and getting you to seek out more of these activities.

The rush of dopamine you experience induces the feeling of euphoria and leads to pain relief. Unfortunately, it can also lead to you developing a dependence.

Traditional opiates like morphine or OxyContin tend to create a strong bond with opioid receptors, meaning they quickly lead to developing an addiction if you don’t follow your doctor’s recommendations.

Kratom is slightly different. Its bond with the mu receptors is weaker, meaning its potential for causing dependence is also weaker. That also makes it more challenging to experience a kratom overdose.

Compared to other opiates, kratom is significantly less likely to be addictive. Moreover, it’s commonly used in treating addiction to other opiates.

Kratom strains

Like cannabis, for example, kratom has dozens of potent strains, and you’ll hear talk about Maeng Da kratom, Bali kratom, green Malay kratom, and more. Most commonly, the strains get their name from their place of origin. However, while the place of origin is important, what determines the strain’s effects is dependent on the color of the leaf veins, which can be red, white, or green.

Red vein kratom has properties that are different from either white or green vein kratom. However, every subcategory of the red kratom will have much the same effects, the only difference usually being the potency.

If a specific strain doesn’t suit you, you can alter it slightly by mixing different quantities of red, green, and white kratom.

Red vein kratom often acts as a powerful opiate. It has potent sedating and analgesic properties, making it the perfect type of kratom for pain. Instead of making you feel euphoric, it soothes and relaxes you.

Red kratom is most commonly used for overcoming pain, anxiety, muscle stiffness, and insomnia. However, it’s most famous for relieving withdrawal symptoms caused by other opiates.

Types of kratom with high quantities of red vein kratom include:

    Red Bali kratom

    Red Maeng Da kratom

    Red Borneo kratom

    Red Thai

    Bentuangie

    Red dragon

    Red Hulu

Most users consider white vein kratom to be the exact opposite of red vein kratom. It’s stimulating, energizing, and you’ll feel a hike in euphoria within just a few minutes of using it.

It was one of the most popular strains among farmers and day laborers in Southeast Asia as it increased concentration, alertness, and boosted mood. It’s one of the kratom strains that resemble coffee the most, making it evident that Mitragyna Speciosa truly belongs to the coffee family.

Types of kratom with high quantities of white vein kratom include:

    White Maeng Da

    White Indo

    White Thai

    White Sumatra

    White Borneo

While white vein kratom is the most popular type in Southeast Asia, western consumers prefer green kratom. It essentially combines the powers of white and red kratom to deliver an authentic experience. It’s smoother and more subtle than either of the strains mentioned above.

It can be energizing and relaxing, sedating and stimulating – it all depends on the dose you take. Lower doses make green kratom resemble a subtler version of white kratom. On the other hand, higher doses make it more similar to red kratom.

Types of kratom with high quantities of green vein kratom include:

    Bali gold

    Green Malay kratom

    Elephant

    Green Thai

    Green Maeng Da

    Green Borneo

    Green Hulu Kapuas

As a general rule of thumb, beginners are better off starting with small doses of green vein kratom since it’s more subtle than other strains.

Kratom for pain

Many users report self-managing chronic pain with small doses of kratom powder. Due to its antinociceptive properties, kratom could be a viable treatment for chronic and inflammatory pain. However, instead of helping to treat the cause of pain, it prevents your perception of it.

Considering that kratom can act as a powerful opiate (although it’s different from traditional opiates), pain relief is a given.

Kratom for anxiety

Due to its anxiolytic properties and sedating effects, kratom could be used to manage anxiety’s physical and mental symptoms. However, its anxiolytic effects could vary by strain.

As mentioned, different strains exhibit unique effects. Since white kratom tends to act almost like coffee, boosting your energy levels and increasing your alertness, it’s not a good idea to use this strain for anxiety. Instead of alleviating its symptoms, white kratom could enhance them.

That is why most users dealing with anxiety typically go for red vein kratom. It’s more relaxing and sedating than other strains.

Kratom for energy

Kratom strains that aren’t suitable for anxiety are usually great for giving you an energy boost. Kratom has stimulating properties that could enhance your mood and make you feel euphoric and alert. White and green vein kratom is usually the best for improving energy levels and helping you feel more focused.

Kratom for depression

Although we don’t have much research on the topic, some studies suggest that kratom could help manage mood disorders like depression. Most of the studies are based on anecdotal evidence and self-reported results.

Users relying on kratom for treating depression have reported a perceived reduction in symptoms and better overall mental health. Once again, the effects are usually dose-dependent.

Since the compounds mitragynine and 7-hydroxy-mitragynine bind to the mu receptors, they can increase dopamine levels and make you feel pleasure and euphoria.

It’s critical to note that when used for depression, you should never mix kratom and alcohol (or any other drug, for that matter). Alcohol is a depressant and could worsen the symptoms of mood disorders.

KRATOM DOSAGE

https://kratom-news.org/

Regardless of how you take kratom, it is critical to pay very close attention to the dose. Kratom dosage isn’t an exact science, so it will likely take some trial and error until you get it right.

Factors like body weight, sex, diet, medical conditions, metabolism, and more will impact how different doses will affect you.

Start small, taking up to 1g of kratom at a time. Increase the dose ever so slightly until you hit the sweet spot and get the results you want. Kratom overdose is always a possibility, so never take two or more doses at once.

Most users agree that the average dose is between 1g and 5g.

To avoid cumulative effects, you’ll need to know the answer to the simple question – how long does kratom last? It usually starts taking effect within 15 minutes of consumption, peaking around 1.5 to 2.5 hours later. You should continue feeling the effects for 5 to 8 hours after taking your dose. Don’t take more than a single dose every 8 to 12 hours to stay on the safe side.

What do studies say about kratom?   https://kratom-news.org/

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7203303/

With the number of kratom users increasing worldwide, more and more people are looking for answers to what kratom is, its risks and benefits, and how it affects your body and mind. Unfortunately, though, science has yet to shed more light on these topics.

There is a significant lack of research and studies on kratom, leaving too much room for myths and misconceptions.

Studies have proven that Mitragynine has opioid-like analgesic effects that can alleviate pain and even block pain signaling. Due to its mild anti-inflammatory properties, it could aid in the treatment of inflammations and work to relieve inflammatory pain. Additionally, it appears that Mitragynine tends to inhibit pro-inflammatory mediator release, enhancing immunity in the process.

Since it has an affinity for binding to the receptors in the central nervous system, most notably dopamine and serotonin receptors, there are indications that Mitragynine could help fight mood disorders. It could also slow the development of opioid tolerance when taken together with common opiates.

Research also suggests that kratom carries some risks for consumers, especially at higher doses.

One small-scale animal study suggested that kratom has addictive potential and can lead to developing withdrawal symptoms. Its addictive potential and toxicity lie in the compound 7-hydroxy-mitragynine, accounting for only 0.02% of kratom. Mitragynine poses only a minor risk but a risk, nonetheless.

Kratom can lead to seizures, arrhythmia, memory impairment, coma, and even death at higher doses. Studies indicate that kratom poses the most significant threat when used in combination with other drugs.

Since kratom’s effects are heavily dose-dependent, more research needs to be done to prove its benefits and risks. For now, it’s important to remember to use kratom responsibly and be careful with the dosage.

Regular kratom dosing will likely lead to tolerance—meaning you need more kratom to get the same effect—and withdrawal symptoms if you try to taper your use. It’s helpful to take breaks from regular kratom use to mitigate tolerance; keeping your doses as low as possible will also help.

https://the-unwinder.com/science/kratom-dosage-how-to-take-kratom/

https://theislandnow.com/blog-112/types-of-kratom-strains/

We tend to have a misconception that an increase in the quantity of the dose will give you the desired results rapidly. It is not only with kratom but with everything possible. In regards to kratom, higher doses can result in CNS (central nervous system) depression and can place you in a situation where you never wanted to be.

Intake of kratom more than the recommended dosage can prove harmful for the user mentally and physically both and can open doors for multiple side effects. Therefore it’s highly advisable to follow the instructions of your doctors and do as per their commands.

If the dosage is said to be 2 gms, make sure you are not increasing or decreasing the amount to an extent that it starts to show up on the results. The amount of dosage depends on multiple factors such as the user’s health, age, and many more which can range from 1-5 grams as low dose, or 5-15 grams as moderate dose. However, it is highly advised to consume it under the doctor’s supervision.

Other than overdosing, there are better and more potential ways to enhance the effects of kratom on the user’s body. You can always use a strain switch, combine strains, or use potentiating agents, but do not overdose as it will only hamper your health.

Overdosing of kratom may also result in kratom addiction that may become a cause of anxiety for you and your close ones. No matter if you are addicted to junk food, pornography, or kratom they always have a negative impact on your mental and physical health. Initially, it may work as a pain reliever, but later it will become a huge problem

We believe it’s always better to start with a low dose and then gradually increase it until you get desired effects.

https://mentalhealthdaily.com/2017/01/08/kratom-side-effects-adverse-reactions-list/

Individuals at highest risk of experiencing kratom-mediated psychosis are persons with preexisting neuropsychiatric disorders and/or who mix kratom with other substances.

Anyone diagnosed with a preexisting neuropsychiatric disorder (e.g. schizophrenia) will be more sensitive to the neurochemical changes induced by kratom, possibly leading to psychosis, especially if abused.  Furthermore, mixing kratom with another substance, especially an illicit drug, may yield synergistic effects upon neurotransmitter systems within the brain to such an extent that psychosis occurs.  Some have speculated that likelihood of kratom-induced psychosis increases at higher doses and/or if multiple strains of kratom are mixed.

Assuming a large enough dose of kratom is ingested, it’s reasonable to suspect that mu-opioid receptors become overstimulated enough to induce neuroexcitation followed by seizure.

https://leafoflifekratom.com/3-worst-mistakes-new-kratom-users-make/

With kratom, less is more. If you want a stronger effect, your best bet is to stop using kratom for a while. Substitute kava or cannabis. When you return to the kratom, it will hit you a lot harder and last longer.

Another technique is to reduce your kratom serving size and frequency. Scale back a bit. Take less kratom, less often. You may be shocked by how effective this is. Less is more, more is too much. And if a person deliberately takes way too much kratom, their body will just vomit it up.

Do yourself a favor. Try reducing your kratom serving and frequency once in a while, and see what happens. Your first thought, inspired by previous substances, maybe “Oh no! I can’t tolerate my symptoms at all, not for one day!” – but kratom works mysteriously. You are stronger than you think you are, and the residual effects of kratom can linger longer than most probably realize.

CONCLUSION: Kratom is a fantastic plant, put here on Earth for our wise and grateful application to our various needs, physically and mentally. Learn more about it and grow in personal strength and wisdom.

White definitely gives me tons of energy, no question about it.

kratom and oj

mixed my kratom with orange juice and what a godsend. still doesn’t taste good but it’s not that bad if you pinch your nose and hold your breath then take a drink of water right after. way better than toss and wash.

If you're first starting take capsules, I did but eventually found powder wasn't bad if I took it with apple juice. Even coffee takes the taste away. Just be careful not to dry swallow it bc it's gross and will make you cough like crazy and burns lol I have an addictive personality but I find it easier to not take every day and only at night if I want the euphoria feeling

https://www.reddit.com/r/kratom/comments/tpqmq8/kratom_and_coffee/

Exactly how I have taken my kratom for the past 6 years. I always toss and wash with a flavored drink (gatorade, tea, juice) and follow it with coffee/water. Delicious! the coffee completely subdues that bitterness from the kratom

Try with grape fruit juice it takes the flavor away almost completely

For me:

Red = time for bed.

White = up all night.

Green = in between

Red = best pain relief, sedating, best for sleep

White = Energy, focus, can make you jittery/jumpy if too much is taken

Green = A more mellow mix above red and white

If taken in high doses they ALL can be sedating. I lower doses they ALL can be a little energetic.

No matter what red I take I just feel lethargic, green I feel focused but can also relax on it, and white makes me want to be overly productive.

Red is a fermented blend of Kratom which is why it gives off the relaxed feeling/pain relief.

Red Bali is best for pain, but only take it at night bc it will put you out. It’s good to sleep on. Other stands are better for the day.

Green is basically just dried straight off the plant.

White is green but with parts of the leafs skeleton in it because the skeleton gives more energy than the rest of the leaf.

The white blend will give you more energy.

Nerve pain is incredibly difficult to treat; opiates don't work for it and the meds they do prescribe - gabapentin, mostly - have awful side effects for tons of people.

I have chronic nerve pain and haven't needed anything else for pain except the occasional tylenol or motrin in like 4 years. I take 6-8g per day and I don't ever plan on stopping, the benefits far outweigh any drawbacks. Honestly I haven't found any drawbacks. All my bloodwork and everything always comes back normal.

Yeah. Kratom was a life saver for me. I was prescribed 1800 mg a day of gabapentin, but then when they rescheduled it I was cut off completely. I have nerve and tendon damage in my hand and at the time I was running a chainsaw all day at work. Without kratom I would have been fucked

I've taken it religiously for about 6 years for my chronic back pain. It's a miracle drug. RED BALI

My buddy can take 8gs and feel nothing, while at that time I was taking 3gs and feeling really good.

Greens and yellows do help with my pain, white gives me light energy.

Same here. Kratom, no matter what color or dosage keeps me up at night.

It’s just the age of the leaf that causes the vein to be different colors and that’s why they call it red, white, green. Simply the vein color depending on maturity. The drying process mixed with sunlight and various humidities produce different results too. It’s all the same leaf!

Dosing is vital too depending on tolerance and quality. Less is more when it comes to Kratom and a half gram can make all the difference in the world with how one feels. When you hit that sweet spot for the individual, you know it. I’ve been taking it for daily for 5 years. First three years one dose in the morning and once in a blue, a dose in the afternoon. When I jumped to 3 or 4 doses a day, Kratom wasn’t as effective or euphoric and had issues with sleep, dreams and withdrawal. At once dose a day I could stop for a week with no Bad effects. Currently, I wake up out of a sleep needing it most mornings to get rid of the beginning of withdrawal. Unfortunately, I have had a lot of experience with real opiate withdrawal and Kratom does create an extremely mild form of that if abused. To each their own, but if one sticks with a single, correct dose daily, I feel it can be consumed safely with no ill effects. Maybe even two doses a day at times but more than that you diminish effectiveness and run the risk of dependency. This is just my experience and others may feel differently. Just my two cents!

I've been taking kratom roughly 8 years now daily. Every time I take a white strain I can't relax at all and can't sleep. Maybe I've been incredibly unlucky and every single white strain I've gotten has been bunk, and being unable to sleep is a side effect of withdrawal, but I've 100% found I have better luck with greens. And this is even at 10 gram doses

My biggest concern is that there is no consistency with Kratom, one works and the next it doesn’t very frustrating to say the lease

I take two grams of two different strains daily, every day for years, with very different effects. You might be getting poor quality kratom.

Make sure your kratom comes in a package with Mitragynine amount per serving and a QR code that you can scan to see lab results. Most vendors don’t even test their kratom- it can be moldy or have toxins/heavy metals, things that can really effect your mental/physical health and you wouldn’t know the cause. Lab tests are crucial to know what you’re putting in your body.

For me, Red Bali in low or moderate doses (3-5g) is perfect as natural painkiller, but having a gram or two more than you should can mean all the difference between having a pleasant and a less-than-ideal experience.

Weed and kratom are like comparing apples and oranges.

Been using it for about 5 years now. Seemed like there were differences at first. But now the only real difference seems to be the batch of leaf more than the strain. Red, green, white, yellow, all just feels like kratom to me.

Strains don't exist..Blends do.

I can take one red kratom pill and get nauseous, a wicked headache, and extremely sleepy and the next morning feel almost hung over. Just like I drank a ton (I never drink, ever) and didn’t sleep it off. I can take small amounts of white or a blend of various whites and greens, or even a small amount of trainwreck, and have tons of energy and never get the headache or sick. This is All reds but bentaungie. It’s great to say the strains don’t matter, but they do. Not all kratom is the same, and the results definitely differ per “color”. I feel absolutely nothing when I take a green. Small amount, large amount, might as well drink water. This is a major brand, reputable, many here would know and likely use, so it isnt quality. Now, it could be that kratom, like all “medicine” works differently on different body chemistries. For example, if I have to take a Benedryl, I’m comatose for hours. Can’t stay awake at all. Same for my youngest three kids. My oldest son and my husband (not his dad) take it and can’t sleep to save their life. It’s like an upper for them. The body is complex and each is unique. A blanket statement doesn’t really work here imo.

Dose is more important than strain

Small doses will pep you up and get you going, while big doses will make you sleepy. Dose is the only factor that will dictate your Kratom experience. There seems to be an obsession with all the different strains when in reality it’s all just one big marketing tactic. There’s a reason that there’s never a general consensus on the effects of a particular strain. It’s all the same. In regards to color, in theory they should have different alkaloid contents. However, unless you have lab tested Kratom that can prove it, you can’t be sure of what you are getting. Writing this because I wish I knew this when I first started out.

In summary: Red, White, Green, Gold, or Yellow

Small Dose = Energy

Big Dose = Sedation

First time trying it

I found this sub from the opiates sub. A couple weeks ago I broke my leg in two places.. had surgery with a plate and about 15 screws put in. I’ve been on opiates prescribed by my doctor but I requested a refill yesterday and my doctor left for the weekend without approving it. I was feeling pretty miserable. Found this sub, had my husband get me some kratom that I took about an hour ago. It seems to be working, I’m feeling much better and grateful I can make it through the weekend without feeling like complete shit! I think I’m going to cancel my refill request. Thanks for all the great info

Helps with pain, depression, anxiety, lack of focus, elevates your mood, makes you itch a little

And like all other things: it's a great helper, but a terrible master. Don't overuse it

It can be used for a lot of things. I use it for pain relief, anxiety relief, and depression relief. It does work for ex-opiate addicts, but I haven’t used opiates before. Other times, when I’m bored and have all of my work done, I use it to have fun. It makes hanging out with the boys more fun, it makes video games more fun, and it makes smoking weed more fun. Use it however you’d like, but it’s popular use is weening people off of hard drugs. It’s a good replacement for alcohol as well

If you have an addictive personality I’d be careful going into it. I’m not addicted to it, but I definitely see how people can. But to answer your first question, it comes in many different forms like capsules, extract, or plain powder. Capsules are really good at measuring your doses for you, but it does take a while to kick in. Powder is the most popular since it kicks in so quickly, but it tastes like shit and you’ll have to mix it in with a drink that cuts the taste. Extract is something I’d stay away from until you’re used to the effects since they come on fast and very strong, and it’s hard to measure dosage. Personally, I’d start with 2 or 3 grams of capsules or powder. It’s enough to give you an idea of what the effects are like without making you nauseous

Psychological effects include euphoria, feelings of clarity, lowered anxiety and depression, and an uplifting feeling.

Physical effects may include muscle relaxation, pain relief, feelings of warmth, feeling of cleanliness, (best way to describe it lol) and maybe some sweating

I take it for lots of different reasons but ultimately, I’d say: It feels nice and doesn’t majorly impact my ability to live a normal functioning life.

It makes things I don’t want to do easier and things I do want to do even better. In a lot of ways its impact in my life is similar to a stimulant like caffeine or Adderall, despite the subjective effects being very different. It’s not a stimulant. But, like a stimulant, it lowers the barrier I have to overcome to do pretty much anything. In that way, I know finding a good groove with Kratom can make a lot of people feel like Superman.

Kratom for chronic pain

https://www.reddit.com/r/kratom/comments/tlzj8n/kratom_for_chronic_pain/

Doctors absolutely fucking hate me (and I hate them) because I’m 22 and have been sick with ME/POTS since I was 13. The most help they will ever give me is maybe tramadol (synthetic opioid) and I have to fight for my life for that. Kratom is really wonderful. I take maybe 1tablespoon a few times a week. I take it with my other medications and it works fine. I understand it can be addictive, but as someone who has been blessed without a predisposition to addiction and actually desperately needs pain management, kratom has been a literal gift from god herself. I appreciate plant based medicine instead of pharmaceuticals. I wanted to provide some of my super positive experiences to this thread!!

My son is absolutely addicted to this stuff. He was taking between 50 and 30 g a day. He has also tried to quit cold turkey but the with drawl symptoms have been too terrible. Currently we are helping him taper down by controlling his intake. I hope it works this is scary stuff

Hi I wanted to say something to you. I’m guessing your son started using this just for fun and got hooked. Well I take it because I was on nine years of mental drugs and opiates for severe nerve damage and depression that almost killed me. When I got off the pills I had to take something so I found kratom. And it’s people like you and your son whose gonna get it taken away from the rest of us who actually need it. Because your kid was stupid. I mean 50gs a day? That’s to much for his lungs all that dust. But please and I’ll ask nicely research before you scare the nation and don’t ruin what’s a miracle for most people

This stuff is not scary. You just have to be smart with it and that much intake in a day after just three months is way to much. I’ve been taking it almost a year and I do 10gs a day. The reason people get so hooked on it because they either take to much go began with it or do it for any other reason besides what it is for.

Why so much? You will get withdrawal symptoms when you stop. My suggestion is keep it under 10mg a day. 2x day 4 grams should work fine. Watch out with your dose. I got withdraw symptoms when i used 20grams a day. Try to keep the dose low!

I’ve had 4 back surgeries; 2 knee surgeries & have Carpal Tunnel in both hands. I was on pain meds for 12 years until I moved into a state where doctors wont give patients pain meds anymore. I now use Red Maeng Da powder. I mixed it with water till I read on the internet to mix it with orange juice. I tried apple juice today & it wasnt bad. Not only does it help with my pain & gives me energy but I’ve found the Red Maeng Da is an excellent appetite suppressant. I’ve lost 18 pounds since I started taking kratom.

Kratom’s pain relieving effect, or its analgesic properties are probably its most know benefits and main reason why people are using it. there are various strains of Kratom Maeng Da, Green Malay, Red Bali, Red Sumatra, red Thai, Red Horn, white Borneo. Aside from being known as a safe herbal medicine for pain relief, Kratom is also popular for providing users with stimulation and increased energy.

It is possible that mitragynine is relatively safe at lower subchronic dose but exhibits toxicity at a highest dose [20]. However, the erratic pharmacology of kratom makes it difficult to define a specific dose threshold. According to online reports and traditional experiences, subjective effects of kratom depend on the dosage: at low to moderate dose (1–5 g) it has a mild pleasant stimulant effect; at moderate-high dose (5–15 g) the compound has opioid-like analgesia and sedation

Among its potential benefits, in addition to analgesic activity [13, 32], mitragynine seems to be also a key component for the anti-inflammatory properties of kratom by suppressing prostaglandin E2 (PGE-2) production in the cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) pathway [16]. Moreover, some authors claim that kratom might be promising antioxidant and anticancer or chemopreventive compounds [33]. Kratom extracts and mitragynine have been shown to possess cytotoxicity to some human cancer cell lines, namely, SH-SY5Y cells (neuronal cells)

While kratom metabolites could have the potential to be developed as new therapeutic agents, there are also possible serious adverse effects of these materials under investigation. There have been different studies showing serious conditions after repeated administration as elevated blood pressure, nephrotoxic effects [41], impaired cognition and behaviour [42, 43], dependence potential [42], and hepatic failure [41, 44]. The onset of liver injury is described to occur within 2 to 8 weeks of starting regular use of kratom powder or tablets, with symptoms of fatigue, nausea, pruritus, and dark urine followed by jaundice [41, 44]. The pattern of liver injury seems to be typically cholestatic and can be severe with serum bilirubin levels rising above 20 mg/dL [44]. Kratom constituents were also identified to be potentially cardiotoxic, ideally potentiating Torsade de Pointes through inhibition of rapid delayed rectifier potassium current (IKr) in human cardiomyocytes [45].
